Another Math Freebie!

I think I'm on a roll this week. I created two freebies (check the one out from yesterday here) and I finished math lesson plans for my team!  

I saw the item I created here but I didn't need her entire packet, so I created my own.  I hope you enjoy it!

Another Math Freebie (Keeping Track of Data)

Hi everyone!  Just a quick post.

The following product was inspired by my teammate so I give her full credit.  I just took her idea and ran with it.

If you use Xtra Math with your class, which by now I'm sure most teachers do.  Then this product will be a great resource for you.  Even if you don't use Xtra Math, then I'm sure it will come in handy as well.

The sheet I created is a way to keep data and students/parents accountable for addition and subtraction facts.  When you look up a student's data on Xtra Math, you can have the students' color in the small rectangle under the math fact so they know that they still need more practice with that/those fact(s).
The students can use index cards to create flash cards to practice at home or in school.

Math Freebie for YOU!

Just a quick post to let you all know that I am still alive.  Anyway, last week my teammates and I had to come up with a quick and easy game for our first graders hitting that place value standard.  I quickly came up with a fun little activity that I know your little ones will love. It's called, "The Winner is..." I know so clever, right? ;)

Basically, each player gets a tens and ones board along with numbers from 0-9 or you can use the ten block units, doesn't matter! Better yet, the kids can use both!  The children form a number and flip the deck of cards that has, "The winner is the person with the largest number... or The winner is the person with the smallest number."

The kids get a kick out of this game because they never know who will win.  So what are you waiting for click on the picture to send you to my store.  I hope your students will love it!

One last thing, I'm super sad that the Broncos lost cause my boyfriend is a huge fan, but I was able to get this cute picture of him sent by his momma before I got there...

I don't know why, but this picture makes me happy beyond words.  I love this boy so much.  :) Oh well, there's always next season, right??

Measurement Freebie

Have you all seen this..... I found it from Mrs. Lee's Kindergarten blog and thought this was awesome.  I needed a way to make it just a tad more difficult for my students so I made this...

I am going to have the pieces cut out and placed in baggies. The children then have all their materials they need prior to placing the strips in order.  They can use the tree strips to measure the green paper in order to build the tree.  

A craft and a math lesson all in one and it's FREE.

Do your students struggle with fluency???

If they do, then I have designed these fluency passages (builders) to help with that!  The reading passages are based off of Christmas.  As an added bonus to the passages, I have made a gingerbread and Santa graphic organizer as well as lined writing paper, and some other stuff.

They come in both English and Spanish.  I will give it to you for FREE if you are the first three people to comment. Please let me know which version you would like as well as your e-mail address.

Hello There!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Wow, it's been a while, (dust flying everywhere).  I can go on and on about why I haven't been blogging since August, but let's be serious, you guys are all teachers and you know how crazy life is once the school year starts.  I don't know how all you wonderful bloggers out there do it with your awesome work you sell or give on TPT, having families, I just don't get it!!!

Well, I decided to come up with something for my English and Spanish readers (if you're still out there...). It's for Christmas or as we say in my class, Navidad.  The students have to put the words in Alphabetical Order. The students can work on in independently or in small group to reinforce the skill.
